All the Devils Are Here – Gamache 16

All the Devils Are Here, is the latest installment in the Inspector Gamache series, by Louise Penny. This time, Armand Gamache is off to Paris for the birth of a grandchild. However, like any detective, trouble and crime seem to follow him wherever he goes. The Inspector Gamache series is one of three that I am following closely. I am trying very hard to stay up to date with him, along with Rebus and Bruno. Last time out I found…Continue readingAll the Devils Are Here – Gamache 16

The end of July 2019 means I’ve been at these monthly reading round ups for 17 months. March Fiction Reading Round Up

If February was a poor month with only four books read, March is a bonanza with nine books read. February Reading Round Up 2019

Also, I wrote an article on Singleness and the Church for our Diocesan newspaper(what with February being the month for love and relationships). So once again there are only four books on the list for this month. On the plus side, I managed to finish Niall Ferguson’s, Kissinger, 1923 -1968, The Idealist. This book was heavy…Continue readingFebruary Reading Round Up 2019

November Reading Round Up*

*I have the star at the end of the title because I skipped an October Round Up and a couple of the books in this month’s round up were October selections. Most of my reading for November is in the area of crime fictions and mainly from two writers. I also have a couple of food related books that I will put off until later, so that this post isn’t incredibly long. Previous Month March, April, May, June, July, August,…Continue readingNovember Reading Round Up*

September Reading Round Up

September has been a bit of mixed-up month for me. The first part of the  month was back to church time after the summer. The second part of the month, I’ve been on holidays. My reading has also been mixed-up. At one point I had at least six books on the go at once. I’ve managed to finish three of those ones, along with several other books. Almost everything tis month has been of the detective fiction nature, although three…Continue readingSeptember Reading Round Up
