September Reading Round Up

September has been a bit of mixed-up month for me. The first part of the  month was back to church time after the summer. The second part of the month, I’ve been on holidays. My reading has also been mixed-up. At one point I had at least six books on the go at once. I’ve managed to finish three of those ones, along with several other books. Almost everything tis month has been of the detective fiction nature, although three…Continue readingSeptember Reading Round Up

August Reading Round Up

August Reading Round UpMy reading for August includes a little bit of history and a whole lot of mystery. A couple of the mysteries, are food related. One of the others features the first work by a now long established writer, and the final book on the list is by my favourite detective fiction writer of all. July Reading Round Up

July Reading Round Up My July reading has been heavy on the detective fiction. I am doing some interesting food reading, but that will most likely end up either as individual reviews or as parts of food philosophy type posts. I’m also doing a fair bit of food and theology reading as part of the sermons series I’m working on. That reading though is more of the using chapters and sections of books in my research as opposed to reading…Continue readingJuly Reading Round Up

June Reading Roundup

My June reading roundup is a little shorter than the last three months. In part, that’s because I didn’t do any mystery novel writing this month. Although, I did watch several episodes of Rumpole of the Bailey, along with the first two series of The Brokenwood Mysteries. Both are highly enjoyable. In part, I included Adam Federman’s, Fasting and Feasting, a bit of June reading, in yesterday’s blog post. May Roundup – April Roundup – March Roundup June Review This month’s readings all concentrate on food. So…Continue readingJune Reading Roundup

May Reading Round Up

March Reading Round Up – April Reading Round Up May marks my third monthly reading round up. Last month the focus seemed to be mainly on various cozy mysteries. This month I’ve got a couple of more cozies, and another one of the Bruno books that I read. Along with them there are three more books where France and French food play a major role. There’s a book about dining alone, and finally the biography of one of the most…Continue readingMay Reading Round Up

April Reading Roundup

Last month I gave a reading roundup post a first try. I’m going to give it another go for April. Last month my focus seemed to be on books related to French cuisine in the middle of the 20th century. This month most of the books fall into the category of cozy mysteries. A Cozy Mystery April: I started back into reading detective fiction a few months ago. As a result, I discovered this whole sub-genre of detective fiction known as…Continue readingApril Reading Roundup
