Top Ten Hottest Hot Sauces in Winnipeg

This top ten post was originally about trying hot sauces during self-isolation. Since then, I’ve tried another five hot sauces. Now it seems like a good idea to create an actual top ten list. I’ve called this Top Ten Hottest Hot sauces, because where a company made more than one, I tested the hottest in their line. Any mistakes in this regard are completely mine. Original Post Introduction I’ve been wanting to do this post on Winnipeg Hot Sauces for…Continue readingTop Ten Hottest Hot Sauces in Winnipeg

Mottola Grocery 242 Hargrave Street

Mottola Grocery is a grocery store for gourmets and gourmands, located in the Hargrave Street Market in downtown Winnipeg. They specialize in high quality, local and imported groceries. They also sell a good range of takeout sandwiches, salads, and baked goods. I have to admit, on my first visit, I took one look at the prices and said to myself, I can’t imagine myself visiting here again. However, time, and repeat visits have changed my mind. The first thing to make clear is that this The Manitoba Box should not be confused with this one. Both feature Manitoba…Continue readingThe Manitoba Box – A Culinary Staycation

The contest is sponsored by The Little Potato Company which operates out of Edmonton, Alberta. The Little Potato Company is not only committed to growing great potatoes, but doing…Continue readingPotato Salad aux Glorieux – Habs Lover

Common Eating – The Eucharist

Since I last updated this post on the Eucharist, I’ve discovered that Google likes posts that are at least 1,200 words in length. As a result I’m going through a lot of my old posts to see if I can find ways to reach that baseline number. Some of them have been quite easy as they were already over a 1,000 words. Some, like this one, will take a fair bit more work if I hope to reach the goal.…Continue readingCommon Eating – The Eucharist

Common Eating – Old and New Testament

This is another one of the sections that I’ve been giving a great deal of thought as to how I would like to present it.  In the regular type face sections below you will see that while I put some emphasis on the stories of the Old and New Testament, there was not necessarily a lot of emphasis there originally. There are definitely a lot of changes to this post, and I think, that as I continue to develop this…Continue readingCommon Eating – Old and New Testament
