Fifth Annual Winnipeg Fall Supper List

2019 version is here.

September ALLOTMENT PLOT tour
September ALLOTMENT PLOT tour

It’s that time of the year again. Time to start thinking and planning ahead for fall suppers. I can’t believe that this is my fifth annual list. However it’s a tradition I really enjoy doing and I hope that as the years move forward this list continues to grow.

I’m adding something new this year. Below you will find a link that will take you to a weekly schedule for the different dinners. The exeption is the last link which begins on November 5th. My experience is that there aren’t as many dinners in November so it shouldn’t be too crowded if I include them all under one heading. I hope this makes navigating this post easier. Not all the weeks have been filled, but I figured if I made the links now, I wouldn’t forget later.

Sept 3-9 Sept 10-16 Sept 17-23 Sept 24-30 Oct 1-7 Oct 8-14 Oct 15-21 Oct 22-28 Oct 29-Nov 4 Nov 5-30

As always, I encourage you to check out Orest Kinasevych to find out the locations and times for fall suppers outside of the city. Again, I appreciate people sending me the information on dinners that occur outside of down, but if you wish for advertising for it, please contact Orest.

Fifth annual fall turkey
A roast turkey is one of the best parts of many Winnipeg Fall Suppers. This one was roasted by yours truly.

Getting Down to the List

The list for 2018 is as always, a work in progress. You can leave information for any Winnipeg 2018 Fall  Supper that you’d like to see in the comments below email me at macbubs13 at gmail dot com. One thing I’d like to see in 2018 is whether or not there are any community dinners hosted by members of newcomers to Canada. If you know of any such dinner please let me know.
Again, you will notice that the fall tends to start off with the high end fundraiser dinners, but as time goes on you’ll find more of the affordable dinners on the list.
