One of Winnipeg’s great organizations is Winnipeg Harvest. Winnipeg Harvest has been operating for around 30 years. Over that time, it has not only fought hunger through food banks, but has been working to raise awareness of other issues that effect people living on the margins. I took the opportunity to check out their Souper Bowls lunch last year. Their T-Shirt Roll Project is the latest idea they’ve put forward.
The hope is that Winnipeg residents will help make this video go viral. Doing so would not only benefit Winnipeg Harvest, but perhaps inspire other cities to do their own T-Shirt Roll Project, or something similar. It also serves to remind all of us that a lack of food isn’t the only challenge facing many of the people who are clients of the Winnipeg Harvest sponsored food banks.
