Even in periods of pentinence and fasting we should be taking time to celebrate the joy that others feel. So tonight I joined with a large group of people to celebrate my friend Brad Unger’s 30 birthday. Karaoke style. Alas, I have no video evidence of my brilliance, so you’ll just have to take my word for it. I contributed three songs to the evening.
I kicked the evening of with the Stray Cat’s “Rock this Town,” followed by Johnny Cash’s “Folsom Prison Blues,” and my contribution concluded with John Michael Montgomery’s “I Can Love You Like That.” All in all it was a splendid evening. I have a picture of me on stage, but it is a little dim. Maybe I can get one from one of the other participants to post later.
